ANNOUNCEMENTS

Please extend your deepest condolences to our classmate Sandy Worthington Pinder who lost her Mom this week.

Mabel Worthington, 87 of Livingston,
passed away peacefully on December 6, 2018. Cause of death was from complications of diabetes and a stroke.

Mabel was born June 9, 1931 in Jordan, MT to John and Juanita (Howe) Weding. Mable was the fifth of 11 children. She lived in the Brusett area on her parent’s homestead. She attended Jordan High School until she married Charles Worthington on October 29, 1947. When he passed, they were 4 months from their 60th anniversary.

They moved to Emigrant soon after their marriage. In 1964 they moved to Livingston. Mabel did various jobs to bring in money. These included working on a dude ranch, child care, working in the Livingston High School cafeteria, selling fruit, Watkins and eve night crawlers.

Mabel was a faithful member of the Livingston Bible Church. She worked with the Awana group, was on the bereavement committee, and helped with Meals On Wheels. Her hobbies were ceramics, gardening, canning, camping and fishing. She was a great cook.

She is preceded in death by all but one sibling, Bill Ady of Seattle, WA. She is also preceded by her father, John Weeding, mother, Juanita Howe Weeding Ady, and step-father Howard Ady. Her husband passed in 2007
and 2 daughters Alice and Charlene both died before they reached age two.

Mabel is survived by three daughters, Donna Simon (Rick) of Lake Stevens, WA, Sandy Pinder (Jerry) of Livingston, MT, and Deanna Williams (Harry) of Kremmling, CO. She had 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren. Mable was “Grandma” to many other children as well.

She will be greatly missed, but it gives us peace to know she is now with the Lord Jesus.

A memorial service will be in the spring, an announcement will be made closer to the date.
